Joyful Beginning Bluebirds: January 13 - 17, 2025
Dear Joyful Beginnings Bluebirds Families,
The students returned to school full of enthusiasm from their snow adventure. Some of them fashioned snow angels, while others made snowmen and went sledding. It was an incredible opportunity for them to witness the wonders of winter.
In the classroom, the children used Mr. Brush and Mr. Q-tip to make their winter paintings. Mr. Q-tip helped the children add white snowflakes to their blue paintings. The children observed how the tiny white dots spread over the dreamy blue paint and created their own unique piece of artwork. This painting activity also brought back memories for the children of playing in the snow, and they shared their enjoyable experiences with one another. On Wednesday, we celebrated Declan's birthday with his family. We were grateful for a nice morning with them and the delicious birthday snacks Declan shared. On Friday, the Southern Train Museum came to school. The children were delighted to attend this event and learn more about trains.
A new story about offering a helpful hand was introduced in the classroom. This week, we will continue to share this tale to assist young children in developing a stronger connection to the value of being helpful. Due to the cold weather, we will have inside drop-off for the rest of the week. The children will spend more time in our classroom, where they can draw, play with homemade play dough, and learn how to sew with needles on burlap fabric.
