Joyful Beginnings Bluebirds: September 29 - October 3, 2025
Dear Joyful Beginnings Bluebirds Families,
The children were pleased to see their friends after the break, and their laughter echoed throughout the forest. Fall had finally arrived. The leaves were changing colors, fluttering softly to the ground in a vibrant dance of gold and orange. The air carried the crisp, earthy scent of autumn, inviting everyone to savor the beauty of the season. To capture the lovely fall scenery, each child was given a notebook and crayons to illustrate what they saw and how they felt in nature.
In the forest, cooking is a favorite game among the Bluebirds. Some of them used various tools to bake cookies and pies in the mud kitchen, while others simply dug and made yummy cakes while sitting on the ground. Through imaginative games, the children learn to listen to one another, take turns with toys, and communicate in an efficient manner. Another game that the children adored was traveling to an island on the big blue boat (our platform ramp). The students volunteered to take on various roles on these journeys, such as steering the boat, watching out for the weather, and being in charge of the food. We traveled to many magical islands together, thanks to everyone’s effort. Imaginative play allows young children to explore ideas and develop creative thinking. Through these play scenarios, the children can also form deep bonds and friendships that will last.
On Wednesday, we celebrated Rigby’s birthday. We were very grateful to spend time with his family, and we enjoyed the delicious snacks they shared with us. Thank you!
This week, we will continue our story journey with a wise old owl and learn the new fall songs in circle time. On Wednesday, we are going to celebrate Julep’s birthday, and are excited to share this special moment with Julep and her family. This Wednesday and Thursday are our Fall Picture Days. The children will take their individual pictures in the mornings with nature as the backdrop. We will also hold our fall conferences starting on Wednesday afternoon. I am looking forward to meeting with you.
