Kindergarten Turtles: May 19-23, 2025
Greetings, Turtle Families,
School is out for summer- WOW! Our last week was full. The children loved bringing their stuffies to school, sharing a book from home, and going on a treasure hunt. The weather prevented a creek visit on Field Day, but we made it there on Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday and spent some extra time on those days. We chopped strawberries on Monday and then ate delicious strawberry sorbet on Tuesday. Field Day was lots of fun, a day full of games! We visited the farm on Friday to say farewell to the animals for the summer. We also had a picnic on Friday, and told many great jokes. Our circle was our “Greatest Hits”; the children picked their favorite songs and verses from the year, and we did a circle of those songs. It was a special, super busy, lots of fun, I can’t believe we’re done kind of week.
The children have learned and grown so much this year! It was an honor to watch them and guide them. For those not returning next year, you will be missed, and we wish you all the best – your children hold a special place in our hearts. For those who will be back at The Garden School in the Fall, have a wonderful summer, and we can’t wait to see you again!
Grace and Peace,
Ki Kim
