Kindergarten Honeybees: March 10-14, 2025

Dear Honeybee Families,

We had a lovely week in the Honeybees class! We had a wonderful mix of rain and sunshine last week. The Honeybees enjoyed both jumping in puddles and playing in the sunshine. We also did a lot of work on our auction project. On Tuesday, our class had a paper tearing party. The students tore paper from magazines that will be used in a collage. On Thursday, the children used watercolor paint to decorate wooden bees. These will also be incorporated into our auction project.

We have enjoyed incorporating bean bag games more into our morning circle. This is not only fun, but it gives the students an opportunity to work on their hand-eye coordination, visual motor skills, focus, and attention, as well as gross motor skills.

Looking ahead to next week, we are excited to continue working on our Spring Circle. The students are beginning to learn the songs and hand motions and are enjoying doing them as a class. On Monday and Thursday, we will visit the farm. As the weather warms up, we are looking forward to trading our farm visits for trips to the creek! We will also be starting a new story this week!

Announcements & Reminders for the Honeybees:

Creek Shoes: As the weather warms up, please start returning your child's creek shoes. Ensure that they still fit comfortably to support their adventures.

Weather Preparedness: The weather continues to shift unpredictably. Please send rain gear and dress your child in layers daily. It is always easier to shed a layer than to warm up after getting too cold.
