Joyful Beginnings Bluebirds: May 11-15, 2026

Dear Joyful Beginnings Bluebirds Families,

It’s hard to believe we have reached the end of this school year. The children had a wonderful time during their last full week of school. In the forest, they pretended the platform was their spaceship. They used wooden boards and logs as batteries for their spaceship and imagined themselves as robots working aboard it. Some friends imagined they were kitty cats and made “kitty kibbles” to share.

On Thursday and Friday, the class loved playing with their stuffed animals and sharing with friends. In the forest, blowing and catching bubbles brought them so much joy. We also enjoyed eating delicious yogurt and popsicles in nature.

In the classroom, the students listened carefully to our final story, in which the older birds learned to play in their new nesting grounds while the younger birds sang and cheered for them. Although the older friends would soon move on to a new class, the younger birds came to understand that they could still see them across the meadow, and that their friendships would continue to grow and blossom. This gentle story helped the Bluebirds reflect on the changes that come with growing and moving forward.

This week, our three-day students will spend special time together playing with some of their beloved story puppets from past tales. We will read books, enjoy tea and popsicles, and create unique finger paintings with vegetable paints.

As the school year comes to a close, we feel deeply grateful for all the joyful moments, growth, and meaningful connections shared with every Bluebirds student and family. Some Bluebirds will spread their wings toward new adventures, and we hope they carry the warm memories of this year with them as they begin their journeys with confidence and courage. Other Bluebirds will return to our nest, and we look forward to another wonderful school year together.

We deeply appreciate your continuous support, generosity, and participation throughout this school year. It is our honor to partner with you in your children’s education and development. A heartfelt thank you to our class rep, Brooke Demorest, for thoughtfully organizing events, sharing information, providing reminders, and serving as a wonderful bridge between our class and the families. With Brooke’s support, our Bluebirds community has grown closer and stronger. We hope you will have a wonderful and relaxing summer filled with joy and special time with your families.
