Dear Joyful Beginnings Bluebirds Families,

Welcome back to school. We are delighted to see the children return from a relaxing and enjoyable Spring Break. Thank you for coming to school and joining us for Grandfriends' Tea. We appreciated the opportunity to spend time with family and friends while also presenting our beautiful forest classroom.

Prior to the break, the children were engaged in hand work activities such as wet felting. They designed unique felt pieces to serve as necklace centerpieces. Beading and wet felting have significantly helped the children improve their fine motor abilities. The social stories told in the classes focused on how we may support friends in many ways. On Friday, we celebrated Evers's birthday. We were excited to spend a fantastic morning with him and his family. Thank you for the tasty birthday treats!

Students who visited the Turtles and Chickadees classrooms for observations had positive experiences. More students will observe in either of these classes throughout the next few weeks. Beginning this week, we will present a new puppet show called Little Birds and Big Birds. As the story unfolds, we will assist our older students in preparing for their transition to Kindergarten the next school year, as well as help the younger students who will continue their journey in Joyful classes to understand this change. We strive to foster a supportive environment for our students to succeed in the next chapter of their lives.
