Joyful Beginnings Bluebirds: April 14 - 18, 2025
Dear Joyful Beginnings Bluebirds Families,
We had a wonderful week in our class. The children enjoyed playing in the cool, crisp mornings, and we spent more time in the forest, enjoying the shade provided by the majestic trees. The children continued to play with trucks, logs, and the mud kitchen. We heard their stories and the recipes they cooked with. We saw how excited they were when they discovered worms while digging. The students used their imaginations to full capacity while exploring nature and connecting with others.
In circle time last week, we embarked on a fresh journey with a mother bird and her babies. Our new circle consists of three songs, beginning with a mother bird welcoming spring, next bringing new life to earth, and last supporting her fledgling birds in flying through the sky. Even though the songs were brief, they sparked imaginations as they portrayed a beautiful spring scene in nature. On Tuesday and Thursday, students painted with blue and red watercolors. They painted their paper with a lovely purple hue to create spring blossoms. As they moved their brushes back and forth, the children relished the calming and serene sensation that the painting experience had provided them.
Our annual auction will take place this Friday. We invite you to join us in celebrating the fifth anniversary of this event. This year, students from two Joyful Beginnings classrooms collaborated on a project. Our amazing parents helped us cut felt sheets, sew a pillow and blanket, and construct a wooden baby cradle. The Bluebirds children crafted beautiful decorations for the pillow and blanket, while the Hummingbirds students painted peg figures to add to our project and make it even more fun. As our final project is unveiled at auction, it showcases the students’ creativity and hard work. Thank you for your contributions to the growth of our community. Please join us for an evening filled with music and laughter.
