Joyful Beginnings Bluebirds: October 6 - 10, 2025
Dear Joyful Beginnings Bluebirds Families,
Thank you for coming to school and attending our conferences. I enjoyed speaking with each of you and am looking forward to further helping the children grow and thrive.
The autumn rain made the world more vivid, washing the leaves to a deeper color. The children spent most of their time in the forest digging in the softer ground and creating mud pies with water. It was a joyful sight, filled with the carefree spirit of childhood. In the classroom, we closed our chapter with the wise old owl. He was the main character of our first autumn nature story. The wise old owl sat on his favorite oak tree, observing the forest. He guided a little mouse to find golden leaves to create a warm, cozy home, and he helped Whisky Frisky, the squirrel, in finding large acorns to get through the winter. The children's eager eyes and ears took up every aspect of this wonderful story. Additionally, they enjoyed the nursery rhyme that goes with it.

The less he spoke, the more he heard.
Why can’t we all be like this wise old owl?
We celebrated Julep's birthday on Wednesday. We were grateful to spend time with her family, and we appreciated the tasty birthday treats they shared with us. Thank you.
For the previous two weeks, the Bluebirds children have made a thank-you card and a heart necklace for Ki Derek to show their appreciation for his efforts in renovating the small playground. We can't wait to play there after the construction is completed.
This week, children will have their first experience with wet felting. We will help them in arranging thin, overlapping layers of wool on baking sheets. Then we'll apply soapy water and assist the children in rubbing bubble wrap over the wool to ensure the fibers are well bound. The wet-felted wool sheets will later be used for decorating our autumn lanterns.
