Kindergarten Turtles: October 20 - 24, 2025
Greetings, Turtle Families,
We had a busy week full of play and creative activities.
Throughout the week, the children talked of the Kingdom of Halloween, and they re-enacted it in their play. Some students were Fairy Guides, and some were storytellers, while others were the audience. It is amazing how well they can re-tell a story they have only heard one time, and their ability to imitate what they experienced during the evening is impressive. The magical night certainly made an impression
On Tuesday, we sat together to weave spider webs using yarn and popsicle sticks, then added pipe cleaner spiders to complete our creations. The children enjoyed this spooky craft and were excited to bring it home to share with their families.
Thank you to the parents who volunteered on Wednesday to help make our lanterns. The children always enjoy sharing time at school with you, and your help is very much appreciated. Our lanterns are beautiful! We look forward to welcoming more parents tomorrow, when we will complete our handles. We cannot wait to see our lanterns illuminated at the lantern walk on November 6th. We continued practicing the Lantern Walk songs in class this week.
On Thursday, we listened to a story about a sweet little kitty named Charlotte, a teeny tiny mouse, a masked raccoon, a magical witch, and a pumpkin house. During the story, a pumpkin house is created out of paper. After the story, each child got to cut their own pumpkin house. This spooky season is an exciting time for children, and it is so much fun to share it with them!
Thank you for attending our all-school meeting and for your ongoing support of our community. Our next meeting is scheduled for Saturday, February 7th, at 12:30 PM.
