Joyful Beginnings Bluebirds: February 2 - 6, 2026

Dear Joyful Beginnings Bluebirds Families,

Thank you all for joining the Curriculum Meeting and All School Meeting on Saturday. It was lovely to gather together, learn about temperaments, talk about the Bluebirds auction project, and support our wonderful school. We are grateful for the food and energy you brought to our community.

In the classroom, the Bluebirds have been enjoying drawing in their journal books. As they grow, their drawings are becoming more intentional and thoughtful. They observe the world around them and translate their ideas onto paper. Some children focused on drawing the weather, such as storms and rain; some liked to illustrate past events, like the Winter Spiral, while others added intricate details, such as steering wheels on cars and smiling faces on people. The children also made heart necklaces by stringing beads and wool. The older children showed confidence and skill with lacing and completed their necklaces with ease, and the younger children worked with patience and determination to finish their creations.

We celebrated Jacob and Jameson’s birthdays earlier in the week. Their parents and siblings joined us for the morning and brought much joy and warmth to the class. The Bluebirds students delighted in spending time with their friends’ families, which helped strengthen their sense of community and foster meaningful connections with one another. Thank you so much for coming and sharing delicious snacks with us.

This week, we will continue sharing an enchanting tale of a magical gnome village, where tiny seeds blossom into beautiful hearts. The children will also express their creativity by painting hearts with watercolor.  To celebrate Lunar New Year, we will sing a special song about a big dragon and learn how to say “Happy New Year” in Mandarin.
