Joyful Beginnings Bluebirds: August 21-25, 2025
Dear Joyful Beginnings Bluebirds Families,
We appreciate your participation in our spring auction! Thank you so much for attending; the event was a success. Your continuous support helps us continue to build our wonderful community.
Last week, we celebrated Earth Day by painting our beloved planet. The children used blue to paint the oceans and mixed blue and yellow to create land. Later, they added dried flowers and a lovely butterfly to liven up their earth paintings. During circle time, the students met two new friends, Mr. Blue Jay and Mr. Robin. We played a new finger play called “Two Little Birds,” and the children took turns touching and holding the soft blue jay and robin.
This week, we will continue to appreciate everything spring has to offer us. The children love to look for roly-polies, worms, and ants. They enjoy sitting together in the woods and digging for quite some time. When they discover a small creature, their faces light up with excitement. They take turns looking at the bugs they find and carefully put them back in the dirt afterwards. This experience sparks their curiosity and helps them learn about how to respect living things in nature.
In the classroom, the children will begin another two-step art project. This week, they will use block crayons to decorate paper flowers.
