Kindergarten Honeybees: April 21-25, 2025

Dear Honeybee Families,

Thank you for attending our auction on Friday! It was fun to see our projects and the other classes! Thank you again to everyone who contributed to making our projects.

Last week, we went to the creek on Monday. The children have loved being able to return to the creek after so many weeks away. On Tuesday, to celebrate Earth Day, we used glass yogurt containers as planters. We planted a variety of seeds, and then the students used acrylic paint to decorate the jars. We will be keeping them in our class for a little while, in hopes that they will sprout and then send them home. On Thursday, we made lemonade with agave syrup and freshly squeezed lemons. The students loved getting the process of making their own drinks to go with snack.

This week, we will be starting a new circle. We will do our Late Spring songs and then start our summer circle in a couple of weeks. We will also be doing a play for our story about the robin and the carrots. The students have connected with this story. They love mimicking the song, and that the donkey in our story has the same name as one of the donkeys at our farm.
