Kindergarten Honeybees: April 28 - May 2, 2025
Dear Honeybee Families,
Last week, the children were delighted to see the seeds they planted on Earth Day start to sprout. We began every morning circle by looking at the plants to observe new growth, before we finally sent them home at the end of the week. The students are already asking when we can plant more seeds! We also added a new song to our circle, "Little Bird." The children have loved taking turns being the bird and flying around. We also found several salamanders hiding in various spots around our class. The class also got to see the goslings that have been parading around campus! It has spread joy throughout our classroom community to see so many animals and plants celebrating spring.
Next week, on Friday, we will attend the First Grade dress rehearsal for their class play, "Three Little Bears." We will also be starting a new story this week about a rabbit outsmarting a coyote. It's going to be fun because during the puppet show and play portions of the story, the children will get to play small drums. It's supposed to be a warm week, so hopefully we will get to go to the creek multiple times. Please make sure your child has their creek clothes with them each day this week so we can enjoy as much time playing in the water as possible.
