Joyful Beginnings Bluebirds: May 12-16, 2025

Dear Joyful Beginnings Bluebirds Families,

Last week, we had a mixture of bright sunshine and spring showers. With a gentle awakening, the animals slowly returned to their familiar routines. We found a little toad by the sandbox and watched a rat snake climbing the tree in Turtles class. Other classes have seen turtles laying eggs by the pond. Our beautiful campus is full of surprises for the children to explore and discover.

As the school year approached its end, we wrapped up our last story, “A Caterpillar’s Journey,” in class. Once upon a time, there was a furry caterpillar. As she climbed the tree, she saw dancing flowers flying in the air. She wondered how they got their wings and how they learned to fly. The furry caterpillar went to Mother Earth for an answer. Mother Earth told her to be patient and learn from her friends. Over the rocks and leaves, the furry caterpillar went to see her friends. She learned to spin from the spider, crack from the squirrel, and spread out wings from the robin. Finally, she became tired and fell asleep on her favorite leaf, entering her dreamland. She dreamed about spinning a long white thread and making a house. As the Father Sun arose, the furry caterpillar woke up. She cracked open her house and spread her wings out wide. She became a beautiful butterfly, flying high in the sky. The children loved this story and were intrigued by the incredible transformation of the furry caterpillar. This school year has been a meaningful learning journey for all the Bluebirds as well. They've learned to care for themselves, make friends, help others, and express their creativity. They now have their wings and are ready to fly high! We are very proud of their accomplishments!

This week, we will participate in some fun activities, such as sharing favorite books with one another, blowing bubbles, and playing with stuffed animals. Besides that, we will have delicious popsicles for snacks on Wednesday and Friday. It is hard to believe that we are reaching the end of this school year. We feel truly grateful to be able to accompany you on this remarkable adventure!
