Joyful Beginnings Bluebirds: April 20 - 24, 2026
Dear Joyful Beginnings Bluebirds Families,
We truly appreciate your participation in our spring auction. Thank you for joining us and helping make the event such a wonderful success. Your continued support means so much and plays an essential role in growing our community.
The Bluebirds were working busily last week. The students continued to care for the marigold seeds they planted, and saw some tiny seedlings coming out. The children were excited to take their plants home later in the week. Please continue to help them to care for them at home and replant them in the ground once they are bigger.
The Rabbit and His Carrot was a heartwarming story that captured the children’s attention. One Spring morning, Jack the Rabbit found an enormous carrot in his garden. Jack decided to share it with his friend Honkey Donkey and brought it to his house. When Honkey came home, he saw a giant carrot at his door and was grateful for the kindness. He decided to pass the kindness to the White Sheep who had been sick. Honkey took this carrot to White Sheep’s house and left it by her door. When the sheep woke up, she felt better and decided to visit her friends. She was surprised to see the carrot at her door and wanted to bring it to her friends. The White Sheep carried the giant carrot to Jack the Rabbit. When Jack saw it, he laughed and explained how he had first found and shared it. Both agreed to take this big juicy carrot to Honkey’s house to eat it together. Then, all three friends shared it, feeling grateful for their beautiful friendship. In a Waldorf classroom, therapeutic stories gently awaken children’s awareness of the changes in nature and the valuable qualities in our lives. These stories were brought to life through imaginative play and meaningful social interactions, offering rich opportunities for connection, empathy, and meaningful social interaction.
On Wednesday, we had a special tea party for Amelia June, who is embarking on a new journey at a new school. She shared yummy popsicles and thoughtful gifts with us. Thank you!! We will miss her very much, and we hope she moves forward carrying confidence, happy memories, and friendship. We wish her all the best!
This week, the children will participate in a sewing activity to continue strengthening their fine motor skills. On Friday, we will celebrate Murphy’s early birthday, and we look forward to spending fun time with her and her family.
