Joyful Beginnings Bluebirds: February 24 - 28, 2025
Dear Joyful Beginnings Bluebirds Families,
It's been a beautiful week with the Bluebirds. We could feel in the air that Lady Spring would be arriving soon. When the Father Sun shone light in the forest, it transformed our platform into a magical space. The children actively engaged in imaginative play. They went on treasure hunts like pirates, played hide and seek among the trees, delivered pizzas using large trucks, and baked pastries in the kitchen.
After a lengthy winter break, Mr. Brush returned to school. He first painted in blue to create more winter scenes, but he was hoping spring would come shortly. He pondered what would happen if he added Father Sun's color to his picture. He jumped in bright yellow and moved back and forth. Lady Spring suddenly appeared on the paper. Mr. Brush helped children in creating green paintings, which they loved. We also started work on our auction project. With assistance, the children carefully stitched the felt pieces together and put a flower button on the top.
This week, our early spring circle will begin with the song Spring is Coming. Children began to quickly learn and memorize songs and movements after being introduced. We often hear proud singing voices during circle time. The previous songs were all stored on our class drive. This Monday, we celebrated Emmett's birthday, and we were excited to spend the day with him and his family. Thank you for sharing the delicious snack with us.
One of the Hummingbirds' parents built us a new mud kitchen table for the forest. We were grateful, and the children were delighted to play there. If you have any old pots and pans and would like to donate them to our forest class, we will truly appreciate the generosity.

3/9: Daylight Saving Time Begins
3/26:Picture Day. This will be a make-up time for students who didn’t get their pictures taken in the fall, as well as a time to take class pictures.
4/4: Half Day - Grandfriend’s Tea 11:00 a.m.
4/7 - 4/11: Spring Break (No School)
4/25: Annual Auction Fundraiser - Half Day
4/26: Community Work Day
