Kindergarten Honeybees: May 18-22, 2026
Dear Honeybee Families,
The last three days of school swept right by us, filled with joy, warmth, laughter, and so many heartfelt hugs. It has been truly beautiful to witness the deep bonds and friendships the children have formed throughout the course of this school year, and to see them sharing their sweet “good-bye-for-nows” with one another. We shared such a harmonious and loving class community, and it has been an incredible honor and gift to hold and guide this class together with Ki Cecilia. We are deeply grateful to all of you parents for being such an important part of this journey. Your trust, kindness, support, and partnership throughout the year have meant so much to us. The care you have shown, not only to your children but also to our classroom community, has helped create such a nurturing and joyful environment for everyone.
On Monday, the children each brought a precious stuffy from home. Their beloved companions even joined us for morning circle in the most endearing way, and the children happily carried them throughout their play and activities. The children also painted terracotta pots, which we later planted with flowers as a special keepsake from their Honeybee school year. During Field Day, we ventured between the three kindergarten classes and enjoyed many fun activities together, including egg races, bean bag tosses, sponge bucket relays, and parachute games. There were also plenty of bubbles, hula hoop fun, and laughter shared throughout the day. On our final day of school, we enjoyed sweet, cooling watermelon and special time together at the creek. It was a full, meaningful, and bittersweet day as we celebrated all we had shared together this year.
Thank you as well for the incredibly generous gifts, thoughtful cards, and gestures of appreciation. Your kindness and generosity made us feel so loved and deeply appreciated. The thoughtfulness behind each gift truly touched our hearts. Being entrusted with your children each day is such a privilege, and your support and encouragement throughout the year have been a tremendous gift to us as teachers. We wish all of you a beautiful, restful, and joy-filled summer. I look forward to seeing many of you again in the next school year and carrying forward the warmth and connection we have built together.
