Kindergarten Honeybees: January 26 - 30, 2026
Dear Honeybee Families,
This week, we introduced a few new winter songs during our morning circle. As the days unfolded, the children fully began to live into the movements- chopping wood, carrying logs, and building a warming fire. We also sang a song about the cold winter weather and dressing up and down in all our cozy gear, a skill the children have already become quite proficient in!
We shared a sweet puppet show of The Mitten. The children watched with great anticipation as each felted creature slowly emerged from the snow and found its way into the mitten. Their quiet focus and delight were a joy to witness. Later in the week, we introduced a new story about a magical porridge pot. By the end, there was much laughter as the pot overflowed, and everyone in the town who wished to return home had to eat their way back!
The children’s hands were busy throughout the week with their handwork projects. The hand-sewn stuffies are deeply cherished in our classroom, and the children are always eager to create more. Others were engaged in heavier work outdoors, lifting and moving large branches to build their house. They look forward to returning to it each day, and it has been wonderful to witness their collaboration and shared purpose.
We were also gifted with plenty of rain this week, making for the most perfect puddles to splash in and explore.

If your child shows symptoms of illness, we kindly ask that they remain home to rest until they are well enough to rejoin the group, helping us care for the health of the whole community.
