Kindergarten Honeybees: March 31 - April 4, 2025

Dear Honeybee Families,

We had an enjoyable and upbeat week in the Honeybees class. In true Garden School fashion, the students leaned into playing in the mud and puddles on Tuesday after Monday's storm. There were a lot of mud cakes and mud tunnels shared in our class throughout the week. On Friday, we had Grandfriends’ Tea! It was so special to get to meet some of the important people in your children's lives and to share our beautiful school with those people.

I hope everyone had a fabulous and restorative Spring Break. Now that we're back, we will be hearing a story about three mole sisters, Insy, Winsy, and Tiny. Insy, the bravest of the sisters, discovers Spring and shares it with her sisters.

We will also be going to the creek on Monday and Thursday, weather permitting. Please make sure you are sending your child to school with a change of clothes, especially on creek days. As the weather warms up, please start returning your child's creek shoes. Ensure that they still fit comfortably to support their adventures. Shoes should be closed-toe and have hard soles.

Announcements & Reminders for the Honeybees:

As the weather is warming up, the Honeybees are drinking more water! Please make sure you're sending two water bottles to school with your child.

Weather Preparedness: The weather continues to shift unpredictably. Please send rain gear and dress your child in layers daily. It is always easier to shed a layer than to warm up after getting too cold.

Upcoming Dates:

  • 4/25: Annual Auction Fundraiser - Half Day

  • 4/26: Community Work Day

  • 5/10: Community Work Day

  • 5/21: Field Day / Half Day for Kindergarten

  • 5/23: Last Day of School - Full Day

Wishing you all a joyful week ahead!

With warmth and gratitude,

Ki Peden
