Joyful Beginnings Bluebirds: March 30 - April 3, 2026

Dear Joyful Beginnings Bluebirds Families,

Welcome back to school. We are so happy to see the children return refreshed after a relaxing spring break. Thank you for joining us for Grandfriends' Day. We truly appreciated the delicious food you brought and the opportunity to spend time with families and friends while sharing our beautiful forest classroom.

Before the break, the children were immersed in a variety of crafting activities. They selected their favorite colors of wool roving and created one-of-a-kind butterflies. Along the way, they delighted in the softness of the fibers. In Waldorf education, working with natural materials such as wool, beeswax, and fabric is an essential part of handwork. It helps foster a connection to the natural world and nurtures a deeper appreciation for the environment. Using natural materials also provides young children with the opportunity to experience a sense of pride and accomplishment in creating something with their own hands.

On Friday, we enjoyed a delicious birthday cake shared by Rihana and had a wonderful time celebrating her half-birthday together with her and her family. We also had the chance to meet Alfie the bunny from a local farm. It was such a special experience for the children to gently pet and feed him, bringing lots of joy to their little hands.

Prior to the break, the children painted pots and rocks. This week, we will have our spring planting time together. Additionally, a new story, The Giant Carrot, will be shared in our circle, carrying a warm message of kindness and the spirit of sharing. On Friday, we will celebrate Jace’s half-birthday, and we are looking forward to spending time with him and his family.
