Joyful Beginnings Bluebirds: March 9 - 13, 2026

Dear Joyful Beginnings Bluebirds Families,

Thank you so much for attending our parent–teacher conferences. It was a pleasure speaking with you and reflecting together on the Bluebirds’ growth and development. It is truly an honor to share this journey with your children and families. I greatly appreciate your understanding and support throughout this school year.

Last week, the warm spring weather brought joy and energy. We noticed flowers beginning to bloom and heard frogs singing by the pond. Earlier in the week, we also discovered baby box turtles in the sandbox. The children observed all with great curiosity and learned how to gently touch them before we returned them to nature.

In the forest, the children have been especially enjoying playing with water. Some incorporated water into their cooking games, while others simply liked the process of scooping water up and pouring it back into the bucket. Coloring with chalk has also been a popular activity. Creating patterns on the tree stumps and drawing pictures on the wooden bench allows the children to express their artistic creativity in nature. Some students even discovered that wet chalks bring out brighter colors. With the help of afternoon showers, the chalks took a good bath and were ready for the children to enjoy the vibrant colors.

This week, we will continue singing spring songs during our morning circle, such as our song:

Nearby in Yonder Forest

Nearby in yonder forest, we hear the birdies sing.

From high up in the tree tops, they tell us it is spring.

Tweet tweet, they tell us it is spring.

Tweet tweet, they tell us it is spring.

We will also learn a new song, What Robin Told, to help bring a more vivid picture of spring as we sing together. The children will also continue exploring painting with blue and yellow colors as they create their lucky shamrocks.
