Joyful Beginnings Bluebirds: September 14-18, 2026

Dear Bluebird Families,

Welcome back to school! We hope everyone had a relaxing fall break. Before the break, we had a magical week filled with beautiful golden colors in Bluebirds. The children worked diligently to glue dried flowers onto their golden crowns and proudly wore their courageous capes toward the end of the week.

As each child was presented with their golden cape, a special verse was shared:

I give to you a cape of light,
To give you courage, strength, and might.

Each Bluebird received this special symbol of courage, given with love and care. May their golden capes remind them of the strength, resilience, and courage that continue to grow within them each day.

Our journey with the dragon came to an end. Through this story, the children learned about helping friends in need and being brave when facing challenges. Near a gnome village, there was a little baby dragon who breathed fire, and the gnome king asked George to help. George promised that he would do his very best and brought the baby dragon back to the village. It turned out that the little dragon had terrible hiccups, which caused him to breathe fire each time he hiccupped! The gnome king used his healing stone to help the baby dragon. In the end, the dragon decided to stay with the gnomes to protect the earth. On Wednesday and Friday, each child happily received a hidden treasure from the dragon - a magical healing crystal. It was a beautiful way to end our adventure with the dragon and also a sweet little reminder of the courage and kindness we discovered together along the way.

Before break, we celebrated Sulie’s birthday. We were so grateful to spend a special morning with Sulie and her Family!

As we begin a new week, we are excited to start a new adventure during story time. Together, we will search for a little red house with no doors and no windows! The children will also explore the color red through watercolor painting in the class. This Wednesday, we are going to welcome Rigby’s family to our class and celebrate his birthday. We look forward to it!
