Dear Third- and Fourth- Grade Families,
Thank you for coming to the Lantern Walk last Wednesday. The walk through the candle-lit forest with the full moon as the backdrop was the highlight of the week for our students and families. Thank you also to the fourth and fifth graders who supported the singers in the forest.
After finishing our language arts block with Native American creation stories on Friday, we started our local geography block yesterday. This block will include various map-making activities. We begin with creating maps of our immediate surroundings, like our classroom or the way to school, before we expand our radius.
This Friday, we will have our class Thanksgiving luncheon. Families are invited to bring a picnic lunch and blanket, and join us in the field for lunch from 11:00-12:00. We will share in a sweet treat provided by the school. We are ever so grateful to our community and look forward to visiting together before our early release this Friday.
Reminders:
Nov. 14-18: Non Perishable food drive for Never Alone food pantry
