Dear Third and Fourth-Grade Families,
Last week marked the end of the semester and the beginning of Winter Break. The students worked hard in the classroom and had many enriching experiences on the farm and in the forest. It's been a wonderful and exciting semester, and we can't wait to see what 2023 brings. Thank you for supporting the class in many ways throughout the semester. Thank you also for the lovely gifts and notes.
On Wednesday morning, the students held a holiday party for the animals on the farm. They decorated a tree for the animals and presented them with a log studded with carrots and greenery. Later, they enjoyed the class pajama party with hot chocolate and cookies. The students decorated candles with colored beeswax. The excitement was great when the class had the sock exchange. We raffled the socks among the students, and they wore their new socks immediately. All in all, it was a fun-filled day!
In the classroom, the students finished the school map in class and wrote the directions from home to school. It was interesting to compare the routes to school and talk about the different landmarks the students see on their way. The whole experience raised the student's consciousness about their daily movements and where they are on the map.
Thank you to all who could attend the school assembly on Thursday. The gathering was an excellent opportunity for us to come together and enjoy the songs and verses of the grades. Enjoy your time with family and friends! We will see each other again in the new year. In the meantime, I wish you a relaxing Winter Break and a smooth transition into 2023!
