Dear Honeybee Families,
Thank you to everyone who was able to attend our Kingdom of Halloween event on Saturday! I also want to extend my appreciation to those who came to the Community Meeting last night.
On Monday of last week, we visited the farm. It was nice to see the animals and enjoy some sunshine on a cold day. On Wednesday, we had peppermint tea in the morning. It was a very peaceful way to start our day. We also got to paint with all three primary colors. On Thursday, we played the story we'd been telling for the past two weeks. On Fridays, when the classes are smaller, we often visit with the Turtles class. We have visited the Turtles class a couple of times, and it is lovely to see the two classes play together. On Friday, we got to be the hosts and have Turtles come to the Honeybees classroom for the first time. It is always fun to play with our Turtle friends, and it was a treat to have them join our space.
Last week, we concluded our Native American folk tale about the origins of the rainbow. This week, we are starting a new story called Stone Soup. It is about a traveler who comes to a village with a magical stone. This stone helps the villagers create the most delicious soup. We will continue to enjoy our regular rhythm this week: going to the farm on Monday and Thursday, painting on Wednesday, and drawing on Friday.
