Dear Joyful Beginning Families,
It is hard to believe we have reached the end of this school year. The children fully enjoyed their last week in Joyful Beginnings. On Monday and Tuesday, the children had fun blowing and popping bubbles. On Wednesday, it was our friend David’s birthday celebration. We were so happy that his family joined us on this special day. Thank you for sharing yummy treats with us! On Thursday and Friday, the children had a blast playing with their friends, and they enjoyed delicious fruit popsicles!
The last story we shared was about a hungry little caterpillar. Once upon a time, there was a little caterpillar. She was so hungry, and she ate through two big green leaves. Once she had enough, she climbed up high and hung herself upside down. She spun a cozy house for herself to rest in—a beautiful white chrysalis. And there, she had a dream that she could fly into the blue sky. When she woke up, she crawled out of her chrysalis, and she was no longer a caterpillar; she became a beautiful butterfly. She dried her wings and flew into the big sky. The children loved this story, and they were very curious about the magical transformation of the little caterpillar.
Thank you so much for making this school year wonderful. We are very grateful to have been able to teach your amazing children and work with you this school year. We hope you all have a relaxing and fun summer break. For our friends who are going to kindergarten and new classes, we are excited for their new adventures. For our friends who will be in Joyful next school year, we are looking forward to seeing you in August!
If you have not already read Kim John Payne's Simplicity Parenting, we highly recommend it for summer reading. It is a wonderful guide that is used and recommended by many Waldorf schools.
