Hello Second Grade Family,
Last week, the class finally got to perform their play! They enjoyed showing off the results of their hard work, and they each seemed to love every minute of it. The Second graders worked hard to memorize lines and bring out their inner acting abilities. They each did a great job of becoming their character.
The class also heard the story of a snail who found the most beautiful garden. The snail was so excited and overwhelmed by the beauty of the garden. Unfortunately, the snail was also so excited to eat the contents of the garden that he ended up ruining the garden. The students enjoyed that story very much.
This week, we began the last Math Block of the year. As the last weeks of school progress, the class will review the four math processes. When this block begins, the class will start by reviewing how to add and subtract multi-digit numbers. The class will also continue to work with place values, which will aid in lining the numbers up correctly to help add and subtract multi-digit numbers.
Thank you to all the parents who chipped in to help with the cast party after the play. The play created fun memories for the students, and the party was a great way to wrap up and celebrate.
