Emily Poliner - ASL & Student Support Specialist
Emily has always had a passion for working with people and adventure. She loves to travel, explore and play in nature, and learn about new cultures. She holds two bachelor degrees from the University of Rochester in New York: American Sign Language and Psychology. During her college years, she studied abroad in Copenhagen, Denmark where she worked at a Danish Forest Kindergarten. It when then that her self-directed study of Waldorf education began. After she graduated, she completed the Cedarsong Forest Kindergarten Teacher Certification Program in Seattle, Washington. Fall 2017 she moved to Boston, MA with Americorp where she served as a Kindergarten Teaching Fellow. Emily is a daily meditator and practitioner of yoga, and she loves to paint, read, dance, and sing whenever possible.
Emily is excited to bring creativity, compassion, and courage to role of Student Support Specialist, as well as the American Sign Language teacher for grades K-8.
