Kindergarten Honeybees: February 3 - 7, 2025

Dear Honeybee Families,

Thank you to everyone for attending conferences last week! We appreciate the time to connect and share about your child’s growth.

Last week, we were lucky to enjoy some crisp, sunny days—a refreshing change from all the recent rain! A special highlight was the Lunar New Year performance by the older students at the school. The singing, dancing, and storytelling in Mandarin captivated us all, giving the children a glimpse of this vibrant celebration.

As we move more into February, we’ve begun telling a new story, A Million Valentines. This heartwarming tale follows an older man who shares love by feeding the birds, offering a gentle reminder of the many ways kindness can take shape.

Looking ahead, we’ll be weaving creativity into our work in a new way—quite literally! Next week, we’ll make Valentine’s Day crafts by weaving dried flowers into cardboard hearts. This activity not only nurtures artistic expression but also strengthens fine motor skills and fosters perseverance as children learn to see a project through to completion.
