Dear Joyful Beginnings Bluebirds Families,
Thank you so much for making this Teacher Appreciation Week memorable. We sincerely appreciate your unwavering support and partnership.
For the past several weeks, the students worked hard to create gifts for their parents. They wet-felted wool balls and sewed them onto wool flowers, which were made into hair clips for moms. They also colored flowers in various hues and painted with watercolors to create flower cards for dads. While crafting these gifts, the children conveyed their love for their parents and couldn't wait to take them home. We hope you had a lovely Mother's Day and will have a fantastic Father's Day next month.
Last week, the students were fully immersed in watercolor painting using the three fundamental colors. They enjoyed watching the colors spread and transform into different shades. The children have become more skillful at painting. They began the school year with simply one color, then two colors, and eventually all three primary colors were used. They learned how to wash Mr. Brush in clear water and dry it with a towel before changing colors. This art process is therapeutic, allowing the children to express their creativity and emotions. While observing color mixing, they also gained a basic understanding of the primary and secondary colors. This week, the students will turn these beautiful paintings into hanging decorations to take home.

Tuesday - Tea Party. Shared snack: Herbal tea with mini gluten-free jelly sandwiches
Wednesday - Bubbles Day. Shared snack: Popsicles
Thursday - Bring your favorite stuffed animal to school (Please remind your children that soft animals are only for indoor play, thanks!). Shared snack: Rice cake with jelly
Friday - Bubbles Day. Shared snack: Popsicles
*Please pack a small snack as usual, and there's no need to bring a vegetable or fruit for the last week. Thank you!
