Second & Third Grade: May 12-16, 2025
Happy last week of school, Second and Third Grade Families,
Last week, the students completed work in their Main Lesson books and their class projects. They spent time with each of their Main Lesson books, looking back at the work they had completed, and were rightfully proud of how much they had grown and accomplished. On Friday, the children attended the hilarious Fourth and Fifth Grade play, The Adventures of Loki. They loved watching their older peers perform for them.
This week, we are celebrating with a week of activities. Yesterday, each child was invited to bring in a picture book to share with the class. Today, the children brought in a stuffed animal to enjoy during their free time. Tomorrow is Field Day, where we will spend the majority of the afternoon playing games before eating popsicles. Thursday, we will spend the morning baking a sweet treat before having a picnic lunch, and Friday will conclude this Second and Third Grade year. We will spend the day in the forest, visit the creek, and revisit some of our favorite activities and games. Parents are invited to join us at the playground after dismissal to say goodbye before the summer. We will have pizza at 4 pm before parting ways.
Over the past two weeks, we also spent many days celebrating summer birthdays. Friday, we celebrated Barnaby, who is turning nine. Monday, we celebrated Hugo, who is turning nine, and Tuesday, we celebrated Stella, who is turning nine. On Wednesday, we will celebrate Alma, who is turning eight. On Thursday, we will celebrate Valentina, who is turning nine. Happy Birthday to all of them!
