Kindergarten Turtles: March 17-21, 2025
Greetings, Turtle Families,
St. Patrick’s Day was Monday, and our story was about a tricky and clever leprechaun named Paddy O’Connor. You may have heard, he visited our class, spilled his gold, and ran off. The children had lots of fun dreaming up traps to capture him. The traps were not a success and our story continued throughout the week to include his clever hi-jinks in the Turtle classroom.
We have had many prospective students in class visiting over the last several weeks. We will continue to have visitors for some weeks to come. Seeing the Turtles welcome these students into our class is so nice. As they have practiced and learned to be kind and helpful to each other throughout the school year, they, too, are kind and helpful to the new students, and it is beautiful to see.
Thank you to the Turtle families who came to help in class with the auction project. It is coming along, and we had fun trying out new art techniques with you all. Our Album Cover will be a beautiful collaborative art piece. Thank you to the parents who have volunteered to help Alejo with parts of the recording, mixing, and singing. We appreciate you all offering your time and your talents towards our class project!
Announcements and Reminders for the Turtle Kindergarten:
Spring is here! The mornings have been cold, but the afternoons have been beautiful, sunny, and warm, and the children have enjoyed the warmer weather. Several children have asked, “When can we go to the creek?” Creek days are quickly approaching. Please send in close-toed, hard-soled water shoes so we are prepared when the water is warm enough.
3/27: Picture Day: Class pictures and individual make-up pictures
4/4: Half Day: Grandfriend’s Tea 11:00 a.m.
4/7 - 4/11: Spring Break (No School)
4/25: Annual Auction Fundraiser - Half Day
4/26: Community Work Day
