Thank you to those of you who were able to join us last Tuesday for our All Family meeting. It was a new format in which we worked and brainstormed together to plan and dream for our school’s future needs and goals. It is because of all of you we are here and able to move forward as a school! Thank you!

Second grade finished the last week of our math block. We spent time adding and subtracting, practicing math facts, and playing many math games. The students are ready to get into our next language block and write and draw again!

We will be hearing stories of both saints and heroic people from various cultures. We will start off with the story of St. Valentine. This week we will enjoy making crafts along with our studies. On the 14th, our class will have a small in-class celebration. Please refrain from allowing your child to make and/or bring cards to school for their friends. We will have plenty of fun on Friday!

As always, please send your child with a labeled water bottle every day. Many students have them already (yay!). Water is an important part of our day and extremely necessary for our overall health and learning! It should be good and muddy on campus! Please send in the extra clothes, socks and rain gear! Check your backpack regularly too! :)
