Greetings Dear Beavers Families,
Our week went by so fast. It started out feeling like winter but by the end of the week layers were shed and the warm sun came back to our forest. The students were delighted when they noticed the mint from last year started growing back. We are planning to start planting again this week. Last week, we received a very big bell pepper for our vegetable chopping day. The children collected the center bit that was full of seeds and planted them in one of our pots. We are ready for springtime to stay!
Thursday was beautiful and sunny and we took a nature walk. We visited the creek and the farm and collected nature tidbits on our way. When we reached the farm we were surprised to find one of our hens left a beautiful blue egg on the grass! It felt like a true Easter egg! Back in class, there’s been a lot of creative activity. The children used pipe cleaners to construct glasses for themselves and each other. We also tied a pipe cleaner around a stick to make a bubble wand and the forest was filled with lots of baby bubbles!
As always thank you for all that you do and for sharing your sweet child with us.
If you haven’t yet, please send me an email to RSVP with the number of guests and their names, who will be attending the Grandfriends Tea on March 31st.
