Hello First Grade Families,
Last week we finally got the chance to present our play, The White Snake, to the school during the day, and to parents and families in the evening. It was a proud day for the students, and they were able to see the results of their hard work. They all did a great job! In addition to spending time on the play, we also worked on sight words and used bingo to help the students practice reading sight words in a fun and interactive way. We continued reading additional Bob Books to expand the students' reading skills.
This week is our last week of school which is hard to believe. The students have learned so much this year and we will spend our last week reviewing and reinforcing as much of what has been learned as we can. We will also enjoy a small end of First Grade party and also celebrate with Field Day on Wednesday. Please send your child to school with extra clothes as they will get wet during our Field Day games!
Thank you to our community, for the great Teacher Appreciation week. It was all very appreciated. This class has been great to work with and it has been amazing to watch the students grow individually and grow as a group. Thank you for a terrific first year!
Reminders:
Please equip your child with sun hats, insect repellent, 2 filled water bottles, and water shoes that must have hard-soled, closed-toed shoes for safe and fun play in the creek.
