Fourth and Fifth Grade: May 13 - 17, 2024

Dear Rising Fifth and Sixth Grade Families,

The last week of school was a whirlwind of activity and learning. Our class concluded the botany block with a deep dive into ferns and horsetails, and the students showcased their creativity by crafting clay mushrooms. They also completed their handwork projects under the guidance of Ki Ieva and had great fun dancing to lively Spanish music with Ki Maria. Field Day was a splash, quite literally, with everyone enjoying water games and indulging in refreshing popsicles on the Green. The week ended on a sweet note as the students collected their work and celebrated with a feast of fresh fruit, cupcakes, and homemade chocolate granola bars.

It was a pleasure teaching this class of remarkable young students, some of whom I have known since Kindergarten. Each of them brings unique talents, and I wish them all the best for the upcoming school year in their joined classes. I would also like to wish Adam, Lucas, and Lyra all the best at their new schools. My heartfelt thanks also go out to all parents and especially our class representative, Candace Parks, for dedicating your time to support the students during workdays, for our play, and for the school auction. I also want to thank you for the sweet card with thank-you-notes I received from you on Friday!

As we bid adieu to this school year, I'm already looking forward to the next one. I hope you all have a fantastic summer filled with fun and relaxation, and I can't wait to meet you back at school, ready for another year of learning and growth!
