Dear Sixth Grade Families,
Thank you to our Sixth Grade families for making this an amazing first year of middle school for our students! We appreciate you so very much for all you do for your children and for our school community. Much of what we do and who we are comes through the dedication of our Sixth Grade families; thank you! We also thank you so very much for your thoughtful and generous gifts to both of us!
Last Tuesday, our class performed their play as a dress rehearsal for all grade classes and later that evening for their families. During the dress rehearsal, there were several instances of missed lines, and it was truly inspiring to see how they supported each other and carried on through without issue, making the play appear seamless for the audience. Tuesday evening, the students moved through the script, songs, gesturing, and scene changes beautifully and completely. Congratulations, Sixth Grade! The following day was field day, where the class continued to enjoy the annual activities, which left them both soaking wet and full of laughter. The remaining days of the week were spent on year-end work in their Main Lesson books, wrapping up their Garden School math assessment, cleaning, and, most importantly, having fun together.
We will miss our friends who are leaving our school this year and wish them all the best in their future journeys. As we look ahead, we look forward to new friends joining us as we welcome the rising sixth graders to our class next year. It will be a year full of friends, new and old, and learning on our beautiful campus. Thank you for the privilege of sharing these years with your children.
We hope you all have a relaxing, restful, adventurous summer and look forward to growing together in the coming year. Have a happy summer break!
