Kindergarten Honeybees: May 13 - 17, 2024

Greetings, Honeybee Families,

And that’s a wrap for our 2023-2024 school year!  What an incredible time we shared together with your children—playing, learning, observing the change of seasons together, and laughing a whole lot! It was truly an honor and joy to get to know your precious children and grow together. We will greatly miss this special Hhoneybee class! We wish our rRisers all the best as they enter the grades. We also wish for all our students that their path continues to open to them in beautiful and wondrous ways. A sincere thank you to our lovely and sweet Honeybee parents; it has been a gift to know each one of you.

Our last week of school was joyful, warm, and full of fun. The children had a blast during field day on Wednesday. We had plenty of different games set up in each of the Kindergarten classes and rotated between classes. We played cornhole, parachute, umbrella mushroom toss, bubble blowing, and egg racing— followed up by popsicles! We also shared a celebratory story for our Risers, which the children enjoyed enacting during our puppet play. We ended our week with cold and sweet watermelon—a perfect treat to wrap up this lovely year.

If you have not already read Kim John Payne's Simplicity Parenting, we highly recommend it for summer reading. It is a wonderful guide that is used and recommended by many Waldorf schools.

May you all have a fantastic summer surrounded by loved ones.
