Dear Joyful Beginnings Families,
Thank you so much for making this teacher appreciation week so wonderful. Your generosity is greatly appreciated.
It has been a beautiful week in our class. The children enjoyed the sunshine and exploring nature. The forest is magical, with the sunlight shining through the branches. It has been wonderful to observe the children running and playing in the forest. On Thursday, there was an abundance of rain. The children were fascinated by how the rain fell from the sky as they heard the droplets. They all stood in front of the windows, taking in the beauty of each of the weather patterns that nature had to offer.
Last Wednesday and Thursday, the children used watercolor and coffee filters to make beautiful caterpillar houses. Big Tom (thumb) and Tall Tim (pointer finger) collaborated to use a pipette to lift up the colors and delicately release them onto the coffee filters. Once these houses have dried, wonderful butterflies will emerge.
This week, we will participate in fun activities, such as playing with bubble wands and making pictures with various materials. Besides that, we will have fruit salads and delicious popsicles for snacks. On Wednesday, we are going to celebrate our friend David’s birthday. We are excited to share this special time with David and his family. It is hard to believe that we are reaching the end of this school year. It has been amazing to see each child mature in different ways. We feel so lucky to go on this incredible journey with you!
