Dear Honeybee Families,
Last week was especially fun in the Honeybees class! On Monday, we visited the farm. The donkeys seemed to be in a friendly mood, and it was fun to pet them. On Tuesday, we used flowers that Ki Annabelle brought to dye felt stars and yarn. On Wednesday, we used the same flowers to dye cotton pieces of fabric. We also decided to add leftover rice from our Tuesday shared snack to our soup. This seemed to make the soup more enjoyable for a lot of the children. On Thursday, we used the dyed cotton and ribbon to make capes. On Friday, we had a half day and a special snack brought by Hawk's mom.
We hope that you all had a restful and enjoyable break. When we return to school, our class will start our Fall morning circle. This means that we will have four new songs. We will also be felting small pumpkins to turn into necklaces. Because of the cooler weather, we will be going to the farm instead of the creek on Mondays and Thursdays.
