Welcome back Second Grade Families! I hope you all had a restful and fun-filled break! We will be getting back into the swing of things by starting out in a new block that will focus on Math. Along with building and honing our math skills, we will read in Rudyard Kipling's Just So stories most days. We will also continue working in our math journals, our writing journals, and working language instruction, including starting learning the alphabet in cursive, in and around our morning main lesson. Our specials classes are all set and we are looking forward to getting back to our Forgien Language studies, Handwork, Movement, and Environmental Education classes.

Please remember to have rain gear at school every day and also water bottles! Rubber sole slippers are a necessity, and layers as well as an extra sweater/sweatshirt for the mornings are always welcomed!
