Joyful Beginnings: March 2 - 6

The week started rainy and finished sunny. This week's theme is spring flowers. We listened to the story about the spring flowers - “Little Brown Bulb” and recited a poem about the sun that nourishes the flowers in the spring.

Monday we went on an expedition outside to explore the large puddles that rain had delivered. We also visited our farm animals but didn’t spend much time there.

Wednesday we made the soup again from all the nice vegetables that students brought. The soup was so tasty that some students asked for the seconds. We also shared the soup with our Middle Graders who helped finish the whole soup pot.

Friday was finally a sunny day. We got more time to play outside in the garden enjoying the sun.

Poem of the week

“The sun in spring is very shy,

He hides when any clouds pass by.

But when the birds begin to sing,

And blues bells of the forest ring,

The sun peeks out and smiles around,

To welcome Spring without a sound.”
