Joyful Beginnings: March 30 - April 3

Another week of distance learning from home.

We tried to call every family this week to better understand how we can help your child during these times. We really enjoyed talking with you and hearing how your families are finding different ways to cope with this unusual situation. For many families, this is a challenging time while for others this is an opportunity to spend more time with family. We are here to help you if you need. Do not feel pressured to use or follow along with all activities that we share with you. Consider these things as assistance that you may use depending on your circumstances.

This week's theme was Rainbow. We had posted a story and audio version on Google Classroom. We will continue posting stories and audio versions of stories recorded by Ki Ieva and Ki Gaby. Ki Gaby shared a story about the mouse who had to stay home and couldn’t go out. This story may help your children to relate to our current situation.

I hope some of you were able to look for various colors this week and attempt to make rainbow wands. This is such a nice project during this colorful springtime when Nature blooms like a rainbow after the rain.

Ki Gaby posted a bunny bread recipe on Google Classroom that should be easy for your children to help make. The recipe is a nice addition to your holidays or Easter celebrations.

We also had a birthday girl - Julia! We called her and sang the birthday song to celebrate her special day.

The next materials will be posted to Google Classroom after spring break. Take a week off from all school and home activities and enjoy the Spring weather outside.

Here is one fun project Ki Ieva did with her son this week - we would also like to see pictures of your daily life! Please feel free to share with us!
