Welcome back to the Garden School of Marietta! It feels so good to be back on campus! The new school year has brought some exciting changes for our third-grade class with new classroom platforms by the creek, and Jaxon joining our class. The children were happy to see each other again and had a good time learning together and playing in the forest.
At the beginning of school, the students drew self portraits to have a record of how they looked on their first day of the school year. During class, we began our studies of the ancient Hebrew people starting with the seven days of Creation from the Old Testament. In order to bring the imagery of the Creation story to life, we are using watercolors to illustrate the story. We also practiced reading and penmanship. We ended the week with a splash in the creek.
Next week, remember to bring:
practical, rubber-soled indoor shoes to keep at the school
sunscreen and bug spray
a second set of clothes
two water bottles
a snack and a lunch
a big smile
Best,
Ki Gaby
