Dear Second Grade Families,
Happy Tuesday! Cooler temperatures have arrived. Please be sure to send your child with plenty of warm layers each morning. Gloves, hats, warm socks, and well-insulated footwear are a must. Children are also welcome to bring in blankets if they wish. Thanks for your help with this!
Last week we celebrated our first birthday of the school year- happy birthday Charlie! Our class shared what makes Charlie a special part of our class. Her peers adore how she makes funny jokes, helps friends get up after the fall, and always tries new games! We continued reviewing the four math processes, especially division and multiplication, during our current math block. Additionally, we are continuing to review digraphs, such as th, sh, and ch.
This week we are holding parent-teacher conferences. Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday are half days dismissing at 12:30 pm. Thank you to the whole class for signing up so promptly!
I am looking forward to speaking with each of you soon.
Reminders:
-Oct. 12-14 Early dismissal at 12:30 pm; Parent-Teacher conferences
-Oct. 22 Community Workday
-Oct. 29 Kingdom of Halloween
Warm regards,
Hayley
