Hello First Grade Families,
We had a busy week wrapping up the year before the break. It’s hard to imagine that we finished our final week before the December break. During the assembly on Thursday, we were able to participate with the entire school. Our class sang a song, did a circle activity and showed off some math skills (which, I will add, they did perfectly during practice-lol). It was a wonderful experience for all of them and also a treat to see them up there for their first assembly.
On Thursday, we had fun in class with a PJ party, sock swap. We enjoyed eating some yummy sweets around our last fire for 2022. Although we threw in some fun holiday activities, we also continued working in our math block. We used the math gnomes to help us keep learning math skills. It’s been a great first semester and thank you all for your support, gifts, and holiday well-wishes.
When the class is back together, we will continue working on math in the next block, adventuring in the forest, and engaging in tasks that build friendships while working together. In the meantime, I hope everyone enjoys the time off and best wishes for the New Year.
