Dear Fourth Grade Families,

It was a lovely spring week to be back together on campus! We finished our second fractions block with a brief review of our Key to Fractions 1 book and completed both the pre and post-tests. The students did very well overall with their understanding of the material. They brought their booklets home this past Friday. Any unfinished pages may be completed at home. We will begin the Key to Fractions 2 book next week and complete it slowly over the rest of the semester.

This week began our second Human and Animal block as well. The students love learning about new animals! We will begin learning the structure of a five-paragraph essay and apply our knowledge when writing our second animal research report in class. The research report includes making a diorama at home as well. Details regarding this research report were sent home Friday with your child, emailed to your inboxes, and are posted in our Google classroom. Please reach out with questions as needed.

Reminders:

Friday, March 11 is a teacher workday and there is NO SCHOOL.
Please send your child with two full water bottles each day. We drink a lot more water on the warmer days.
Please remember to always send a full set of extra clothing and rain gear, especially boots, daily.
