Third Grade: May 2 - 6

Dear Third-Grade Parents,

This week, the class continued the story of Moses up to the crossing of the Red Sea. Each day, the students also practiced the basic four operations, emphasizing vertical multiplication of two-digit numbers with one-digit numbers to solve Math questions. On Friday, the students picked their projects to build a small primitive shelter. The students will build their shelters at home and write a short paragraph about their shelters. Completed projects will be due on Wednesday, May 18. Please check your email for details.

The class also continued to rehearse for the upcoming play on Tuesday night. The students had several opportunities to practice on stage to experience how their voices carry in the sanctuary and how they can better project their voices to be heard by their audience. Ki Kathee was also there to help the students prepare their music performance and give logistical tips for the play.

We also celebrated two birthday parties. Max will turn this summer, and his sister Charlotte turned eight. Happy birthday, Max and Charlotte!

Warm Regards,

Gaby Farrokhi
