Kindergarten Turtles: March 13-17, 2023

Greetings Turtle Families,

It was winter in the forest again this week! Brrrrrrrrr!  Thank you for dressing all of the Turtles well.  We had a great week!

Our story this past week told us about a very clever and sneaky leprechaun named Paddy O’Connor. Paddy lived in the leprechaun land of lush green hills at the end of the rainbow.  We had lots of leprechaun and rainbow fun throughout the week.  We watched in wonder as cups of red, yellow, and blue water climbed pieces of paper towel and mixed in empty cups.  We checked on the colors throughout the day and ended up with the colors of the rainbow. Then we were able to use those beautiful colors to paint.  We also had a leprechaun visit our class.  We think he saw us and ran away.  He was in such a hurry that he spilled his gold.  The children were excited and delighted to search throughout the forest to find all the gold.☘

Thank you again to everyone who has come in to help with our auction project.  It is coming along nicely.  Many of the children have finished their weaving and many more are almost finished.  It has been so wonderful to have your help in class. Be on the lookout for an email from Sam Chavez.  We will meet on Saturday, 3/25 at Elm Street Playground in Woodstock to assemble all of the children’s weavings.

Also, a big thank you to all of the Turtle Families who came out for the workday!  We had a great turnout and great work was done for our school!
