Dear Second Grade Families,

Happy Tuesday! Thank you so much to everyone who came out for our annual school auction and participated in bidding! The night was a lovely success and a wonderful chance to come together as a community. Thank you also to all those who helped with our class project, donated items to the auction, and those made bids. We are so grateful for your generosity and time. Our parents and community make this school so special and strong!

Last week, we continued working on our play block. Parts are assigned and the class is buzzing! Please continue to practice your child’s lines at home with them. Our play will be in the church sanctuary at 5:00 pm on May 11th. Afterward, there will be a cast party with light refreshments at the picnic tables for students and families. You can find a cast list and material needs here. Thank you dearly for your help with costume materials and creation! Last week, we also continued to work on our academics, continuing to learn lowercase cursive letters, and breaking multisyllabic words into smaller chunks.
